Hilker, Mildred C. (13 June 1921 - 4 Nov. 2008)
Mildred C. Hilker, 87, of Marshfield, died Tues., Nov. 4, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Fri., Nov. 7, 2008, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Patricia Stevens will be officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Mildred Strebe was born June 13, 1921, in Marshfield, a daughter of Arthur and Freida (Loeffler) Strebe. She attended Marshfield schools. Mildred was joined in holy marriage to William Hilker on Aug. 23, 1941, in Marshfield. Mrs. Hilker was a homemaker, but during World War II worked at the Roddis Factory. She also worked at the pea cannery and the shoe factory. Mildred enjoyed playing cards, bowling, cooking, baking and her cats.
Mildred is lovingly survived by her daughter, Darlene (Larry) Bell, Marshfield; and three sisters, Adeline Mosher, Sturtevant, Rosetta Bredl, Marshfield, and Eris Thurston, Marshfield. Mildred is predeceased by her parents; her husband in 1998; and one sister, Leona Mews.
