Ouimet, Mary H. (17 July 1909 - 24 June 1997)

Mary H. Ouimet, 87, of 809 S. Cherry Ave., died at 5:05 a.m. June 24, 1997, at Marshfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, where she was admitted three days earlier.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thur. at Hansen Funeral Home. The Rev. Kerry Wilson of Zion United Methodist Church will officiate. Jean Roehrborn, organist, and Duane Helgerson, soloist, will provide the music.

Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery in Chicago.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time Thur. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ouimet was born July 17, 1909, in Chicago, to Jacob and Laura (Shoemaker) Keller. She was married to Ernest Ouimet on Sept. 2, 1933, in Chicago.

She attended elementary and secondary schools in Chicago. After her graduation from high school, she was employed by the Chicago Motor Club. Following marriage, she was a homemaker, raising her children. She continued to live in Chicago until August 1972 when she moved to Marshfield. She was an avid bowler.

She is survived by her children, Marlene (Robert) Brown of Osage Beach, Mo., and Carol (Norman) Brown of Marshfield; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bertha VanInwegen of Macomb, Ill.

Predeceasing her were her husband on Dec. 3, 1965; a grandson, Robert Rust; her parents; and two brothers, Jacob and Paul Keller.

Memorials may be designated to the family in her name as they will establish a memorial in her name.
