Evelynne J. Blenker, 93, of Marshfield, died April 30, 2009, at her residence. Arrangements are pending at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI).

Evelynne J. Blenker, 93, Marshfield, died Thur., April 30, 2009, at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Mon., May 4, 2009, at St. Kilian's Catholic Church, Blenker. The Rev. Augustine Bentil will officiate and music will be provided by St. Kilian's Folk Choir. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. The visitation will be held at St. Kilian's Church on Mon. from 9 a.m. until service time. Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) is assisting the family.
Mrs. Blenker was born March 28, 1916, in Amherst to James A. and Stella M. (Marks) Wilson. She graduated from Amherst High School and then attended Wood County Normal School, Wisconsin Rapids. She was married to Harold G. Blenker on June 15, 1938, at St. Kilian's Catholic Church, Blenker. He died July 18, 2000.
Evelynne had taught at many area schools throughout the years and was remembered and loved by her students. She was a member of St. Kilian's Catholic Church, the Parish Council of Catholic Women and the National Catholic Order of Foresters.
She is survived by a son, George (Sue) Blenker of Rice Lake; and a daughter, Mary McCombie of Marshfield. She is also survived by two sisters, Violet Worzalla and Lila (Ervin) Schmidt, all of Wisconsin Rapids. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Sandra; and two brothers, Gordon and Donald Mancl.
Expressions of sympathy may be given in her name to the House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield.
