PITTSVILLE -- Donald Macha, 76, of Pittsville died Sun. April 12 in Fond du Lac. Buchanan Funeral Home in Pittsville is assisting with funeral arrangements.

PITTSVILLE -- Donald F. Macha Sr., 76, of Pittsville died Sun. April 12, 2009, at Harbor Haven Hospice in Fond du Lac.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thur., April 16, 2009, at Veedum Moravian Church, Veedum. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wed. at Buchanan Funeral Home, Pittsville, and at the church Thur. from 10 a.m. until service time.

Donald Macha was born Aug. 23, 1932, in Madison to Edd and Vera (Wallace) Macha. He was educated in Pittsville and served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956.

Donald married Emma L. Braun on Feb. 20, 1954, at Veedum Moravian Church, Veedum. She survives.

Donald was employed at C.L. Jepson Cranberry Co. in City Point and then at Consolidated Papers in Biron until retirement in 1993. He was a member of the Veedum Moravian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Macha of Pittsville; two daughters, Donna (Robin Lipski) Staczyk and Beth (Art Hanson) Macha, Green Bay; two grandchildren, Brad (Laurie) Jakusz, Amherst, and Nicole (Larry Johnson) Jakusz, Stevens Point; and nine great-grandchildren, Caitlin Faust, Rudolph, Austin and Christian Haas, Traeton and Caden Jakusz, all of Amherst, and Erin, Meghan, Robin Jr. and Matthew Lipski, all of Stevens Point.

He is further survived by two sisters, Hazel Nordman, Pittsville, and Ferne Hutter, Marshfield; a sister-in-law, Irene (Lou Leggio) Schloesser, Lac du Flambeau; two half-brothers, Harold and Richard Macha; and a half-sister, Mildred (Eugene) Kulhanek, Pittsville.

Donald was preceded in death by a son, Donald Macha Jr.; a half-brother, Kenneth Macha; and his parents.

Memorials have been designated to Veedum Moravian Church.
