AUBURNDALE -- Lawrence E. Keller, 66, of 10522 View Ave., Auburndale, died March 10, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family.
A memorial service will be held at noon Sat. March 14, 2009, at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI), Marshfield, with Mary Jane Lapinski officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home Sat. from 9 a.m. until service time.
Lawrence was born Aug. 25, 1942, in Sauk County, to Erwin and Lorena (Neumier) Keller. He was a 1960 graduate of Prairie du Sac High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Sandra J. Goodyear, on Nov. 24, 1960, at St. Aloysious Catholic Church in Sauk City. He worked a wide assortment of jobs throughout his life but his favorite was the 15 years he spent at Arpin Dairy in Arpin.
His favorite hobby was the hundreds of miles he walked with his dog, Hootie, in a town with one sidewalk.
Larry is survived by Sandy, his wife of 48 years; his mother, Lorena Keller of Prairie du Sac; and his children, Janet (Todd) Bruhn of Marshfield and their children, Erinn and Nikki; Linda Wittenberg of Madison and her children, Amanda, Melissa, Samantha and Kayla; and Steven (Angie) Keller of Phillips and their children, Danielle, Lisa, Tyler and Dakota; Rhonda (Tedd) Nadler of Menomonee, Mich., and their children Ben, Travis and Alex -- with Ben living with grandparents to help with things.
He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry (Ruth) Keller of Prairie du Sac.
He was predeceased by his father and a son Dale.
