Niebauer, Nancy (1937 - 17 Oct. 1998)
She was born April 30, 1937, in Marshfield, the daughter of Lillian (Waech) and Carl Niebauer. She spent her early life and schooling in the Phillips area. She attended and graduated from Phillips High School. She then attended and graduated from the College of St. Catherine, Minneapolis, with a bachelor of science degree in physical education and science. Following her graduation, she did extensive post graduate work at the University of Minnesota. She was employed as a physical education teacher first in Little Falls, Minn., at Neillsville, and then from 1965 until her retirement in 1993 at Janesville. Following her retirement, she made her home with her mother in Phillips. She was a member of Our Lady of the North Catholic Church, Phillips.
She is survived by her mother, Lillian, Phillips; two brothers, Charles, Minneapolis, Minn., and Peter (Jean), Alexandria, Va.; one sister, Elsbeth (Tom) Rust, Virocqua; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl, on June 12, 1991. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wed. at Our Lady of the North, St. Patrick's Building, with Fr. Terence Fitzmaurice officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Phillips.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, where a parish wake service will be held at 7 p.m.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
A Memorial Fund has been established.
