Hilda M. Seefeldt, 89, of 601 S. Cedar Ave., died Jan. 22, 2002, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
Arrangements are pending at Hansen’s Funeral Home.

Hilda M. Seefeldt, age 89, of 601 S. Cedar Ave., died Tues. morning, Jan. 22, 2002, in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sat. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert Brandt and Pastor Mark Krueger will officiate. Bruce Jenesma will serve as organist and Hilda’s granddaughter, Lori Maxwell, will be singing favorite hymns.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Maxwell, David Maxwell, Rich Rust, Tom Dahlby, Morrie Enders and Jim Aumann.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Fri. at the Hansen Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until service time Sat. at the church.
Mrs. Seefeldt was born March 11, 1912, in the town of Brighton, a daughter of the late Charles and Alvina (Luepke) Oelrich. She attended town of Brighton schools. On Aug. 30, 1934, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Spencer, she married Frank A. Seefeldt. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1972.
Hilda lived on a farm until 1945 when they moved to Spencer where she was active at Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
In 1964 the couple moved to Marshfield where she was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital until retiring in 1977. She moved to Cedar Rail Apts. in 1983 as one of the original residents.
Mrs. Seefeldt was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Senior Circle and Bible Class at Immanuel Lutheran.
Besides volunteering at St. Joseph’s Hospital and helping to prepare and serve lunches at the Cedar Rail, she enjoyed crocheting.
Hilda is lovingly survived by two daughters, Elda Rust of Marshfield and Faye Maxwell of Marshfield; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Arnold (Muriel) Oelrich of Spencer; sisters, Dora (Arthur) Huber of Reedsburg and Lucille (Edward) Sienicki of Spencer.
One granddaughter, Diane Dahlby; two brothers, Alfred and Verner; and two sisters, Arvilla and Erma, preceded her in death.
Memorials in Hilda’s memory may be designated to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Hour.
