Beatrice was born Jan. 30, 1922, in Wausau, a daughter of Harold and Theresa (Kuehn) Burg. She attended school in Wausau and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1941. The former Miss Burg was united in holy marriage to Ray Goetz on June 21, 1941, at the Stratford Bible Church.

Mrs. Goetz was a homemaker but spent some of her time working for Weyerhaeuser from 1967 to 1979, and seasonal employment at Marshfield Canning Co. and Figi's.

Bea enjoyed cooking for family and friends, giving homemade chocolates and candies for Christmas, and writing poetry tied into biblical promises and using it as encouragement. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church and participated in the Ladies Fellowship group for many years. She felt very close with her church family and thought of them as extended family. She persevered through health problems in her later years and looked forward to going to heaven to be with her Lord. Her family is happy for her and will miss her greatly.

Beatrice is lovingly survived by six children, Gary (Peggy) Goetz, Taylors, S.C., Diane (Fred) Krause, Springdale, Ark., Deborah (Daniel) Cattanach, Marshfield, Thomas (Paulette) Goetz, Louisville, Ky., John (Suzanne) Goetz, Weston, Conn., and James (Sandy) Goetz, Wheaton, Ill.; 18 grandchildren, Dwight, Tim, Sara, Mathew, Alison, Brian, Michael, Jonathan, Carrie and Rachel Goetz, Jody and Christopher Johnson, Tammy Nienabor, Rebecca Alpizar, Scott, Curtis and Melanie Cattanach and Michelle Hopperdietzel; 13 great-grandchildren, Cassie and Alex Johnson, Emily and Ethan Cattanach, Jacob and Rachel Hopperdietzel, Gavin Nienabor, Paul, Aubrey and Clara Goetz, Elizabeth Willman, Brianna Alpizar and Ava Cattanach; a sister-in-law, Joyce Burg; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Goetz is predeceased by her parents, her husband Ray in March 2008, her brother Howard Burg, her sister Lauralda Piguet, and a great-grandchild Stefan Ingles.

Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Mrs. Goetz's name are encouraged to do so to Calvary Bible Church in Marshfield.
