Harris L. "Butch" Berg, 65, Marshfield, died Sun. Feb. 1, 2009, at Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wed., Feb. 4, 2009, at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI), Marshfield, where the visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time.

Harris L. "Butch" Berg, 65, Marshfield, died Sun. Feb. 1, 2009, at Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wed., Feb. 4, 2009, at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI), Marshfield, where the visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time.
Butch was born Sept. 4, 1943, to Byron and Genevieve (Thompson) Berg in Iola. In 1961, he graduated from Iola High School. He furthered his education at Wausau Technical College and graduated in 1963 in Architectural Design. He married Patricia J. Butzen on Feb. 27, 1965, in Sheboygan. They later moved to Marshfield, where he was employed by Wick Building System Inc.
He retired in February 2006 after 37 years of service, the last 22 years of which he served as vice president/general manager. In 2006, he was inducted into the Manufactured Housing Hall of Fame.
Butch loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed spending much of his free time at his cabin on Solberg Lake in Phillips. He loved golfing, fishing, snowmobiling and traveling. He was an avid fan of the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. Anyone that knew Butch understood that he loved life and lived it to the fullest right up to the end.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, and sons, Jeffrey (Lisa) Berg and Richard (Sandra) Berg, all of Marshfield. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Megan (Wayde) Hoesly of Wausau and Brandon Berg of Marshfield. He is further survived by a sister, Mary Ann (John) Andrews of Winter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial fund will be established in Butch's name.
