ISAAC P. WITTER (Rep.) was chairman of the Seventh district in the Y.M.C.A. campaign in 1917 and in the United War Work campaign in 1913 and was active in his county in all other war work. Born in Grand Rapids, May 11, 1873, he graduated from the Grand Rapids high school in 1391, attended the University of Wis. three years and after two years in a bank in Grand Rapids with his father, spent a year in study abroad. Returning to his home he again became affiliated with the bank of Grand Rapids and has been its president since 1902. With the exception of two years he has been a member of the board of education for 20 years, Us president for several years. He has served on the Good Roads organization and with his various business interests has been active in every movement for civic betterment. He was elected to the senate in 1916.
