Wohlleben, Leo Vernon (4 July 1935 - 7 July 2008)
Leo Vernon Wohlleben, 73, of Butternut, died Fri., July 4, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. He was born June 2, 1935 in Butternut, the son of Arthur and Edna (Haugen) Wohlleben. His early life and schooling were in Butternut. After his schooling he entered the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War in Germany during the Berlin Crisis. Leo loved the outdoors and was a logger and woodsman. He was a member of the Butternut American Legion Post.
He is survived by one sister, Margaret Draeger of Butternut; six brothers, Richard of Butternut, Arthur of Park Falls, Eldon (Carol) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Earl (Loretta) of Mukwonago, Thomas (Nancy) of St. Anthony, Idaho, and Donald (Grace) of Butternut; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant twin brother, Leonard; a sister, Edith Bock, and a sister-in-law, Creda Wohlleben. Funeral services will be held on Tues., July 8, 2008 at 11 a.m. from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Butternut. Rev. John A. Deitz will officiate.
Burial will follow at Butternut Union Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Tues. from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
The Novitzke Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
