EDWIN L. FLEMING, clerk, Marshfield, son of O. S. and Lydia Fleming, was born in Lowell, Orleans Co., Vt., Feb. 22, 1859. He left there in 1873 and went to Quebec, from there to Cuba, thence to Australia, where he remained nearly two years, thence to Brazil and worked about six months on an India-rubber plantation, then to Florida and home to Vermont. He then went to Mexico and spent a year, and afterward spent a year in Iowa. He came to Auburndale, November, 1880, and is clerking for R. Connor & Co. He was married in Vermont, July 3, 1878, to Miss Josephine Freeman. His father is a merchant, still living in Lowell, Vt.
