Malovrh, William James (April 22, 1928 - July 1, 2011)

William James Malovrh, 83, Medford, died on Friday, July 1 at Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center in Medford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger officiating.

Interment will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Stetsonville. Pallbearers are Karl Malovrh, Chuck Malovrh, Kevin Malovrh, Martin Malovrh, Joe Malovrh, Paul Malovrh, Rick Gordon and Chris Malovrh.

Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.

William Malovrh was born on April 22, 1928 in Deer Creek to the late Anton and Frances (Zalaznik) Malovrh.

He attended Deer Creek Grade School. After grade school, he and his brother moved out west to work, and during harvesting season, he would return to the area. He worked in Milwaukee for a few years, then purchased a dairy farm in 1947. He also worked in the woods since 1949. He was the owner and operator of Malovrh Dairy Farm and farmed until 2002 when he retired and moved to Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center due to ill health.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting.

Survivors include a sister, Mary (Dick) Gordon of Rib Lake; a sister-in-law, Virginia Malovrh of Wausau; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward (Lillie), Henry and Tony.
