Rose O. Brost, 90, of Marshfield died Wed., Nov. 19, 2008, at the Marshfield Care Center.
Arrangements are pending at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI).

Rose O. Brost, 90, Marshfield, and formerly of Stratford, died Wed., Nov. 19, 2008, at the Marshfield Care Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sat. Nov. 22, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Peter Manickam will officiate and music will be provided by John F. Binder as soloist and Sacred Heart Church Funeral Choir.
Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Stratford and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
The visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) and Sat. from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Sacred Heart Church. A combined Sacred Heart Parish and Sacred Heart Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary Service will be held at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brost was born July 10, 1918, in the town of Day, Marathon County, to Joseph and Barbara (Mayer) Peters and she attended Pleasant Hill School in the town of Day. She and Delphin Brost were united in marriage June 14, 1938, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Rozellville. He died Sept. 11, 1959.
Rose had been a homemaker and while raising her family was privately employed in domestic work. She also had been employed at Weyerhaeuser Company in Marshfield. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, gardening, and watching her grandchildren's sports activities. In her later years, she had resided at Norris Manor in Marshfield.
She is survived by seven children, Dolores (Vernon) Pupp of Rowland Heights, Calif., Jim (Nancy) Brost of Marshfield, Joan (Dick) Bille of Sun.rarie, Carol Brio of Temple City, Calif., Marcie (David Porterfield) Brost of Madison, Charlotte (Ken) Zaleski of Marshfield, and Judy (Wayne) Landwehr of Marshfield. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, Terry and Jerome Pupp, Kim and Dana Scidmore, Robert Bille, Linda Huck, Kristin Maloney, Eric Brio, Deanna Dieudonne, Eric and Jeff Brio, Andre Brown, Pat Zaleski, Lisa Zaleski, Katie Hofer, and Jennifer and Nicholas Landwehr; 12 great-grandchildren, Brittney and Breanna Pupp, Katrina Pupp, Kyra and Ashton Hanson, Ryan and Katlyn Huck, Logan and Lucas Dieudonne, Ilianna Brio, Christopher Brio, and Gracelyn Hofer; and three great-great-grandchildren, Rylee Pupp, River Weddington and Aidan Pupp. She is further survived by a sister, Barbara Hartle and a sister-in-law, Mary Peters, both of Marshfield. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a son-in-law, Dick Brio; a great-grandson, Gavin Pupp; two sisters, Martha Ott and Anna Grittner; and two brothers, Edwin and Matt Peters.
