Mrs. Gould of Minneapolis, who s a daughter of &r. and Mrs. H. Jehle, is making her parents a visit.
Mr. Goz, the bookkeeper of this branch of the Connor Co., became a member of the Lutheran church last Sunday.
The Lutherans formed here a local branch of the association for Lutherans in Wisconsin with August Luchterhand, president; W. Zoellner, secretary, and F. Kuhl, treasurer.
Last Sunday Mr. Kuhl from the village became a member of the Lutheran congregation, which has seen enlarged during this month [July) by eicht new members making the number of members sixty-one.
Two babes were baptized in the Lutheran church last Sunday, the son of Franz Luchterhand receiving the name, Franz Robert Richard, and the son of R. Collel receiving the name, Arnold Arthur August.
The picnic of the Lutheran congregation held the 18th of July brought a clear suplus of $176.11, which the congregation is going to spend for a new coat of paint for the church building' and for a new church bell.
The wind, hail and rain storm, which passed over this section Tuesday, did lots of damage to crops, especially small grains. We have heard of no damage to building property.
