Herbert Schroeder has sold his farm to Charles Sweeney of North Benton, Iowa; he will take possession October first.

Frank Snyder of Bakerville called on H. Schroeder last Saturday.

Potatoes are very scarce in this locality as it takes from 12 to 14 hills to make a peck.

The rain has done considerable damage as it has lodged the grain and delayed being cut.

Mr. and Mrs. Pete Specht visited with N. Seitz and family last Wednesday.

The A. S. of E. and Woman's Auxiliary members are planning a picnic for Aug. 17, a chicken pie supper and other refreshments will be served, at Luchterhand's grove.
