John Bever spent Monday at Grand Rapids.
W. A. Siedensticker spent Monday at Marshfield on business.
A splendid opportunity is offered here for a good experienced painter. C. L. Peterson and brother of Milladore were recent callers in our burg.
C. V. Burton visited a few days at Waukesha the latter part of the week.
Bullock and Ward have 'numerous agents here at present and the vicinity is well canvassed.
The highway bridge between section 10 and 11 that was washed away by the flood, is being repaired.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wetherly recently entertained Mrs. Sutton a former resident here, several days.
Blueberry picking is the craze nowadays and loads of merry pickers are seen bound for the marshes every day.
A party consisting of Lewis Peterson, Geo. Smith. Geo. McCormick and Jake Fieldman left Monday for the Dakota harvest fields.
A Sunday School picnic will be held near Arpin on Thursday Aug. 10 at which the following schools will participate, Sherry, Arpin, Auburndale and Dist. No. 4. Prominent speakers from abroad will also be present and a good program has been arranged.
There will be preaching service at the Presbyterian church next Sunday morning at 10 o'clock instead of the evening as usual. This change is made to accommodate the public and it is hoped a large audience will be present and hear Rev. Burton's able discourse.
