Craig, Sarah Lea (18 OCT 1975)

Miss Sarah Lea Craig, Willard (Clark Co., Wis.) and Jacob Francis Trunkel, Willard, were united in marriage on Saturday, October 18, 1975, at 1:00 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Father Michael Mertens performed the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Thurman A. Craig, Willard, and Mr. and Mrs. John F. Trunkel, Willard.

Miss Pam Suda was organist and Miss Margie Debevec soloist.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, and chose an entrained flounced satin wedding gown with fingertip veil of lace edged illusion, secured by a beaded Juliet cap. She carried a nosegay of white miniature carnations and Waburn Abbey rosses with cascading ivy.

Miss Candace Kaltinger, Eau Claire, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Craig Gorden, Marshfield, Miss Deborah Craig, River Falls, and Miss Arlene Debevec, Marshfield, were bridesmaids. They wore gowns of old, rust, brown and avocado floral satin, and carried nosegays of fall pompons and baby's breath.

Mr. John W. Trunkel, Willard, was best man, and groomsmen were Robert Trunkel, Greenwood, Dale Severson, Curtiss, and Richard Bukovec of Stanley.

Ushers were Dan Trunkel, Willard, and Allan Wessel, Greenwood.

A reception followed the ceremony, with a 3:00 dinner at the church and a 9:00 dance at the West Side Hall.

The bride is a 1974 graduate of Greenwood High School and attended the UW, Eau Claire. She is employed by ITT Life Insurance of Thorp.

Her husband is a 1968 graduate of Greenwood High School and is employed by Greenwood Homes.

After a wedding trip to Florida, they will be at home on R.R. 1, Willard.

Craig, Sarah Lea (Marriage – 18 October 1975)

Miss Sarah Lea Craig and Jacob Francis Trunkel exchanged marriage vows Saturday, October 18, at 1 p.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, before the Rev. Michael Mertens. A reception following the ceremony preceded a 3 p.m. dinner at the church and a 9 p.m. dance at the West Side Hall.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Thurman A. Craig and Mr. and Mrs. John F. Trunkel, all of Willard.

The bride wore a fingertip veil of lace-edged illusion, secured by a beaded Juliet cap which complimented her entrained, flounced satin wedding gown. She carried a nosegay of white miniature carnation and Woburn Abbey roses with cascading ivy as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Miss Candace Kaltinger was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Graig Gorden of Marshfield, Miss Deborah Craig of River Falls and Miss Arlene Debevec of Marshfield. Square necklines, flared skirts, high waistlines and short, flared sleeves were features of the bridal attendants, full-length gowns of gold, rust, brown and avocado of floral satin. Their nosegays included tall pompons and baby’s breath.

The groom’s attendants were John W. Trunkel, Willard as bestman and Robert Trunkel of Greenwood, Dale Severson of Curtiss and Richard Buckovec of Stanley as groomsmen.

Ushering duties were shared by Dan Trunkel, Willard, and Allen Wessel, Greenwood.

Miss Pam Suda was the organist and Miss Margie Debevec the soloist.

The bride is a 1974 graduate of Greenwood high School and also attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She is employed by a Thorp Life Insurance Company. Her husband graduated from the same high school in 1968 and is employed by a Greenwood home manufacturing firm.

Following their return from a wedding trip to Florida, they will live on Rt.1 Willard.
