The Lutheran Congregation at Christie dedicated its new church to the
service of the Triune God last Sunday. The new church is a frame building
30x50, neatly furnished.
The weather was very favorable and a large crowd attended the celebration.
Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) was well represented. Rev. E. Kemena, assisted by
the visiting clergy performed the dedicatory act. Rev. B.F. Matter of
Veefkind preached in the forenoon on the 84th Psalm, and Rev. Wm. Viergutz
of Nasonville in the afternoon on the text: Ezekiel 33, 1-5. The male choir
of Loyal sang at each service.
The people at Christie deserve credit for building the church. They now have
a house of worship. May it be a blessing to that community.
