Members of the band formerly started by Professor Vincent have united and
are now under the instruction of Professor Arnold of Marshfield. Fifteen of
the boys met at the opera house for instruction last Monday, and from the
sounds that issued therefrom, there is promise of entertainment throughout
the summer. The Businessmen's Association have granted the band the free use
of the lower room of the opera house for practicing every Monday evening.
Five new members have been added since the last meeting, bringing the number
to twenty. The boys are meeting their own expenses without seeking outside
aid, and have taken hold of the proposition in a businesslike manner, so it
promises to be a success. Keep it up bosy, music is as necessary as
sunshine. (Granton News)
