Gill, Ethel (27 JUN 1916)
(The following item from the Park Falls Herald will be of interest to our
readers, as Nick is well known here (Loyal, Clark Co., Wis.), having at one
time been employed on the Loyal Tribune force)
Another pretty June wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John
Gill at Waseca, Minnesota, on Wednesday afternoon at five o'clock, when
their daughter, Miss Ethel Gill and N.J. Christman were united in the holy
bonds of matrimony.
The groom needs no introduction to our readers. He has been a member of the
Herald staff for over seven years, and during that time he has been one of
the most prominent figures on the local baseball team. He was the idol of
fans and one of the most popular young men in the city. Miss Gill was
formerly a resident of Tony, Nick's Home Town, and she had been a teacher in
the schools in that vicinity for the past several years.
After a short honeymoon Nick and his bride will return to Tony, where he
will engage in farming, and will endeavor to forget the enticing smell of
the printers' ink.
Everybody in Park Falls will join in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Christman the
greatest joy and prosperity throughout their wedded life.
