Another village will soon be added to those already in Clark County,
Wisconsin. The business men and people of Granton want no longer to be under
the town system, and at a meeting held last week, out of 23 voters present,
only one dissenting vote was cast against incorporating as a village. With
this sentiment as a working capital, a committee was appointed to begin
Legal steps. The first move was to take a census, which was done Tuesday and
showed a population of 328, the required number for incorporation being 200
or over. (Marshfield Herald)
