The Loyal High School opened September 11, 1916 under the supervision of Mr.
McKean, with the largest attendance known here for some time, every seat in
the high school being taken.
The Freshman Class does not really seem so green as they look, though they
are caught sometimes gazing about the room making themselves acquainted with
their new surroundings.
The Seniors make up in brilliancy for what they lack in number.
The Loyal High School has now adopted a Domestic Science Course, unter the
charge of Miss Bergolte.
Misses Florence Colby and Clara Darton visited school last Wednesday.
Miss Frona Castner, class of 1913, is taking up Domestic Science in the high
school.
The four classes met Monday night to elect their new officers. They are as
follows:
- Seniors – Bernice Irvine – president, Gladys Herdrich -
treasurer-secretary
- Juniors – Eva Mathison – president, Reno Herdrich - Vice President,
Florence Hannan –secretary, Emil Horn - treasurer
