Death at Staadt
Mrs. William Mannigel, after an illness of some months with dropsy, died at her home at Staadt Tues. noon, age 55 years. Deceased has lived in that vicinity the past 26 years and was a woman who commanded the respect and love of a large circle of friends. She is survived by a husband, two sons and three daughters, Mrs. Frank Reinolt of Chetek, and Albert, Helmuth, Emma and Irene residing at home. The funeral will take place Fri. from the McMillan Lutheran church.

Brief mention was made in last week’s News of the death of Mrs. Wm. Mannigel at her home in Staadt, April 7th. The funeral was held Fri. last, from the McMillan Lutheran church, Rev. Petz conducting the services. Deceased was born in Bernstein, Germany Dec. 20th, 1852 and came to America with her parents in 1872, her maiden name being Miss Louisa Poetter. They first settled at Lowell, Dodge Co., at which place, in 1875, she was married to Wm. Mannigel. In 1882, Mr. and Mrs. Mannigel moved to Marshfield and to Staadt, 12 years ago, where they have since resided.
