With her father giving her away, Janet Leah Sepp was united in marriage to
Jerome Litten in August 9 evening ceremonies at New Harvest Christian
Center, rural Withee. The bride is the daughter of Mike and Lois Sepp, Rt. 1
Willard, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Salzgener, Rt. 1
Withee.
The Rev. Dave Venzke and Chuck Sepp officiated at the service. Special music
was offered by Sherryl O’Brien of Thorp, Cheri Schnabel of Greenwood and
DeWayne Harris of McCook, Nebraska.
Serving as maid of honor was Gaylene Branstiter, a friend of the bride from
Minneapolis; Judy Litten, the groom’s sister from Owen; Mrs. Dale Gilbert,
the bride’s sister from Minneapolis, and Cheri Schnabel, a friend from
Greenwood.
Mark Martens, a friend of the groom from Withee, was bestman. He was
assisted by Ron Frei, a Minneapolis friend; Dave and Steve Sepp, the bride’s
brothers from Willard, and DeWayne Harris. A friend from McCook, Neb.
Ushering were Chris Baker and Pete Bucheger, both friends from Greenwood.
Justin Harms, the bride’s nephew from Willard, was ringbearer, while Erin
Sepp, the bride’s niece from Wausau was flower girl.
The bride chose an empire-style gown of Chiffenete with a chapel-length,
attached train. It featured a stand-up collar, trimmed in Chantilly lace and
a skirt with flounced hem and lace front. Her finger-tip length veil was
trimmed with Brussel’s lace and the headpiece was of Mantilla lace. She
carried a cascade of white roses, turquoise carnations, ivy and baby’s
breath.
The bride’s attendants were attired in empire-style gowns of sweet pea
luster-glow jersey with a Queen Anne neckline, featuring lace yoke trim and
satin Venician lace. They each carried a single white rose with baby’s
breath and greens.
The groom wore an all-white tuxedo, and the groomsmen were attired with
similar colored tuxedos accented by black trim and vests.
Following the wedding service, a reception was held at the Woodland Inn,
Owen. The couple then left on a trip to Northern Wisconsin. Prenuptial
events included a rehearsal party held at north Mead Lake home of the
bride’s parents.
The couple will make their home in Minneapolis. The bride a 1979 graduate of
Greenwood High School and attended North Central Bible College in
Minneapolis and will continue her education as well as work part-time for
Dayton’s. The groom is a 1979 graduate of Owen-Withee High School. He is
attending North Central also, majoring in pastoral studies, and is working
part-time.
