Melodie Ann Zschernitz and Gary Howard Foster were united in marriage during
Saturday afternoon, August 16, ceremonies in Neillsville. The Rev. Joseph
Henseler officiated at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church rites. Parents of the
bride are Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Zschernitz, Rt. 1 Neillsville, and parents of
the groom are Dr. and Mrs. John W. Foster, 15 Clay St., Neillsville.
Ronald Resong and Tim Voigt offered special musical selections for the
wedding as the father of the bride presented her to the altar.
Tammy Voigt of Neillsville was the maid of honor. She was joined by Mrs.
John Perrine, a sister of the bride from Neillsville, Terry Zschernitz, a
sister-in-law from Fairchild and Carla Zilk, Neillsville. Heather Foster and
Joseph Perrine served as flower girl and ring bearer.
Bestman was John Foster of Grand Forks, N.D. He was assisted by Greg Foster
of Neillsville, Curt Cattanach of Eau Claire and James Schield of Eau
Claire. Larry Zschernitz, James Skroch and Rick Lavene ushered.
The bride was attired in a gown featuring crepe trim and heirloom lace on
the pleated skirt and bodice. She carried white orchids accented with spider
plant. Her attendants chose ivory satin, two-piece dresses and they also
carried arrangements of orchids.
Following the service, a reception was held at the Wildcat Inn with a dance
following at the Silver Dome.
The bride is a 1978 graduate of Neillsville High School and is employed by
Benson Optical Company of Eau Claire. The groom is a 1976 graduate of the
same school and is also employed by Benson. They will make their home in Eau
Claire.
