Kleinschmidt, Mrs. Edward (Ida) (12 March 1893 – 27 June 1975)
Mrs. Edward (Ida) Kleinschmidt of Granton, a county resident for over 70
years, died Friday, June 27,.in Neillsville at the age of 82. Funeral
services were held Tuesday from the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, with
the Rev. William Noble of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial
was in the Windfall Cemetery at Granton.
Mrs. Kleinschmidt, the former Ida Franke, was born March 12, 1893, in
Calumet County and came to the Town of Lynn with her parents in 1902. Her
marriage to Edward Kleinschmidt took place May 29, 1918, at the Lutheran
Church in the Town of Fremont. The Kleinschmidts lived on farms in the town
of Lynn and the Town of Fremont until 1960 when they moved to Granton.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Idora)
Fenske of Chili; five sons: Guy of Wausau, Roy of Marshfield, and Glen,
Norbert and Silas, all of Chili; two sisters: Mrs. Emma Sanger and Mrs.
Clara Gaulke, both of Chili; one brother, John Franks of Marshfield; and 20
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James, Larry, Randy, Gerald, Edward and Scott Kleinschmidt.
Special music was by Mrs. Norman Faber and Mrs. Henry Grottke.
