(Looking back 20 years)
An eight-year-old son of John Fisher of Veefkind (Clark Co., Wis.) was badly
mangled by the explosion of some dynamite caps in his pocket, on July 4,
1895. His right hand and a large piece of flesh on his right thigh was torn
to shreds. Dr. Mulvey was called as soon as possible and dressed the wounds,
amputating part of the hand. He has hops of the boy’s recovery.
