Fuehrer, Joseph M. (13 Mar. 1949 - 28 Nov. 2008)
Joseph M. Fuehrer, 59, of West Bend, passed away peacefully Fri., Nov. 28, 2008, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Joe was born March 13, 1949, to Mark and Agnes (Bayerl) Fuehrer in Milladore. He graduated from Stout University with a degree in teaching. He married Kathleen A. Aldenhoff on July 31, 1976, in Milwaukee, then moved to West Bend to raise their family. Joe was a teacher at West Bend High School for 34 years in the Tech Education Department.
Joe loved the time he spent with his family and especially his precious grandson, Cole Joseph, and special nephew and godson, Bobby. He coached the Newburg Pirates Little League baseball team and taught Hunter Safety in Newburg. His passion was hunting with his buddy, Zack the dog. He was a member and president of Newburg Sportsman's Club, county representative of Wisconsin Conservation Congress and served on the board of trustees at United Methodist Church.
Joe will be deeply missed by his loving wife and best friend of 32 years, Kathy; cherished sons, Jon (fiancee Teri) of Fredonia, and Kris (best friend Dana) of West Bend; and dear grandson, Cole Joseph. He is further survived by his mother, Agnes; siblings Bill (Annie), Marvin (Lila Mae), Sally (Bob) Thompson, and Ray (Jeannie); grandma Betty; parents-in-law, Jerry (Ellen) Aldenhoff of Beverly Hills, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Barb (Gary) Bigsby and Dyan (Donn) Barth; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Fuehrer.
Joe will always be remembered as a wonderful teacher, a hard worker and a kind and gentle man. A memorial service to honor Joe was held Tues., Dec. 2, in West Bend.
