Drapp, Velma L. (28 January 1905 – 5 July 1975)
Funeral services were held Tuesday from St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, Witt,
Il., for Mrs. Velma L. Drapp, 70, of Rt. 2 Granton, who died July 5 at her
home. The body was taken to the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home and then to the
Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville, Il., to lie in state. Burial was in St.
Barbara’s Cemetery.
Mrs. Drapp, daughter of John W. and Laura Crowl Brown, was born January 28,
1905, at Morrisville, Il. Her marriage to Mike Drapp took place February 4.
1944, at Cicero, Il. Mr. Drapp died in 1962.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Hazel Shake of Taylorville, Il., and a brother,
Everett C. Brown of Rt. 2 Granton.
