Topinka, Helen M. (Krisher) (14 DEC 1928 - 28 NOV 2014)
Helen M. Topinka, 85 of Colby, died in the presence of her family on Friday,
November 28, 2014 at her home in the Town of Hull, Marathon County.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at
Medford Senior High School, 1015 West Broadway Avenue, Medford, WI with Mr.
Perry Pearson and Mr. Robert Eberhardt, presiding. Burial will take place at
Evergreen Cemetery, Medford and serving as pallbearers will be grandsons,
Michael, Eric, Evan, Steven, Taylor Topinka and Cuyler Swonger. The
visitation will be held from 10:00 am on Saturday until service time at 12
Noon.
Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Helen was born on December 14, 1928 in Jump River, Wisconsin, to Orville and
Hazel (Coblentz) Krisher. Helen and Victor were married May 13, 1947. They
started their married life near Neillsville, WI, then moving to Medford, WI
where they lived the majority of their life. She was a homemaker and
dedicated her life to raising their seven children. For the last two years
they lived near Colby, WI. They have cherished over 67 years of married
life. Helen was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great
grandmother. She and Victor enjoyed traveling to visit their children
scattered across the states and also their siblings.
She is survived by her loving husband, Victor and their children, Ruthie
Topinka of Texarkana, TX; Harvey (Nancy) Topinka of North Port, FL; Louis
(Marilyn) Topinka of Beaverton, OR; Duane Topinka of Wylie, TX; Debbie
(Randy) Swonger of Colby, WI; Diane Topinka of Venice, FL and Ronald Topinka
of Richmond, MN. She is also survived by grandchildren Michael, Eric
(Becky), Ashlee, Tara, Evan (Sami), Steven (Kelly), Kaylene, Taylor, Tristin,
Tanisha Topinka, Cuyler and Corina Swonger; great grandchildren Annelise,
Russell and Ashlynn Topinka. She is further survived by her sisters Edna
(Arthur) Topinka of Marshfield, Elaine (Fred) Griswold of Pittsville, Myrtle
Stockwell of Pittsville and a sister-in-law, Elaine Krisher of Sioux Falls,
SD.
She is predeceased by her parents, daughters-in-law, Elaine and Karla
Topinka, an infant Topinka granddaughter, brothers, Chester, Alvin, Lowell,
and Marvin Krisher and a sister Naomi Topinka.
