Barber, Nellie Kay Freezy (Marriage – 5 July 1975)
Marriage vows were exchanged July 5 at the Frist Congregational Church in
Huntley, Il., by Nellie Kay Freezy Barber and James T. Eckland. The Rev.
Herbert Eggers officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Walter E. Lueck, Sr., Marshfield, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley
Eckland, McHenry, Il.
The bride appeared in a pale pink A-line gown fashioned with an overlay of
old-fashioned white lace. A white picture hat with pink lace and flowing
ribbons completed her ensemble. She carried an arrangement of white daisies,
pink roses and yellow stephanotis with pink streamers as she was presented
in marriage by her father.
White lace accented the pale yellow gown worn by Mrs. Nicholas Matos,
McHenry, the bride’s attendant. Her yellow picture hat was trimmed with
yellow streamers. A bouquet of white daisies and yellow roses complimented
her costume.
Nicolas Matos, McHenry, served as bestman.
A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Stolldorf in Huntley.
The new Mrs. Eckland attended schools in Neillsville and Marshfield and
completed her education at Elgin Community College, Elgin, Il. Her husband
graduated from high school at McHenry. They will love at 11811 Mill St. in
Huntley, where both are employed.
Area people attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lueck, Sr., and
Walter E. Lueck, Jr. of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Freezy, Spencer.
