Haemer, Emma B. (15 FEB 1911 – 21 APR 1992)
OWEN – Emma B. Haemer, 81, died at 5:24 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 1992 at
Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.).
Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25th at First United Church of
Christ, Owen (Clark Co.), with the Rev. Paul Kirker officiating. Burial will
be in Pine Hill Cemetery, rural Curtiss.
Visitation will be at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday.
She was born February 15, 1911 in the town of Green Grove (Clark Co.), to
the late Emil and Elizabeth Buss. She was married to Ray Klessig in 1931,
and they were late divorced. She was married to Lloyd Haemer in 1943, and he
died in 1980.
She was a housewife and mother, and farmed in the town of Green Grove until
moving to Owen in 1975. She also worked at Clark County Health Care Center,
Owen. She was active with the Ladies Circle of United Church of Christ, and
a member of the Duetscher Club of Clark County.
Survivors include two sons, Carl D. Hamer of Curtiss, and Ely Klessig of
Colby; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Pearl) Lulloff of Owen, and Susan
Koffarnus of Colby; one brother, Henry Buss of Curtiss; four sister, Anna
Schneider of Greenwood, Elda Burtard of Owen, Minnie Schneider of Ladysmith,
and Mrs. Ruben (Linda) Hill of Curtiss; fifteen grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
