Porath, Lillie (9 April 1888 – 17 July 1975)
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Gilbertson Funeral Home,
Granton, for Mrs. Lillie Porath, 87, a lifetime resident of the Town of Lynn
who died July 17 in Neillsville. The Rev. Stephen Engelstad of Zion American
Lutheran Church officiated, and burial followed in the Lynn Cemetery.
Mrs. Porath, the former Lillie Yankee, was born April 9, 1888, in the Town
of Lynn. Her marriage to Ernest Porath took place December 5, 1916, at
Neillsville. Mr. Porath preceded his wife in death in 1931.
Survivors include one son, Victor Porath, and two daughters, Mrs. Oscar
(Gladys) Sternitzky and Mrs. Harvey (Joyce) Johnson, all of rural Granton;
one sister, Mrs. Violet Wiesner of Neillsville; and eight grandchildren and
eight great-grandchildren.
