Lloyd, Mr./Mrs. Byno (Golden - 21 July 1975)
The children of Mr. and Mrs. Byno Lloyd, Rt. 2, Neillsville, honored them
Sunday, July 20, with an afternoon open house in observance of their 50th
wedding anniversary. The open house was held at the home of the Lloyd’s
granddaughter, Pat and Duane Pozega, also of Rt. 2.
Saturday evening, the Lloyds were guests of honor at an anniversary dinner
at the Moonlight Inn.
Byno Lloyd, the son of Hattie and Ed Lloyd, and the former Mary Pretsch were
married July 21, 1925, at the courthouse in Neillsville by the late Judge
Oscar W. Schoengarth. The bride’s parents, Lottie and Reinhold Pretsch, were
the attendants.
Both natives of the Neillsville area, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd have spent most of
their lives here and have lived on their present farm in the Town of Levis
for the past 30 years. They are semi-retired but still do some farming;
three big gardens keep them busy, in addition to a large flock of chickens
to care for.
The Lloyds are parents of four children, Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Mohr, Mrs.
Ted (Doris) Kopp and Edwin Lloyd, all of Neillsville and DeWayne Lloyd of
Stoughton. There are 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Their son, Dewayne, son and daugher-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Lloyd, and
both daughters and sons-in-law, together with other members of the immediate
family and many friends and relatives were present for the anniversary
observance.
For the occasion, a grandson’s wife, Mrs. Ted Kopp, Jr., made a special
anniversary cake decorated in gold, and a grandson, Tim Kopp, created a gold
money tree complete with perched butterflies and birds.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd are members of Calvary Lutheran Church.
