Cross, Maryann (Marriage - 11 July 1975)
Mr. and Mrs. Duane Wegner, who were married July 11, at Zion Lutheran Church
in Granton by the Rev. Everett Schleef, have returned from a two and
one-half week wedding trip to California and are making their home on Rt. 2
Granton. The new Mrs. Wegner, the former Maryann Cross, is the daughter of
Mrs. Phyllis Cross, Marshfield. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wegner, Rt. 2 Granton, are
the groom’s parents.
Yellow and white daisy trim accented the veil and the white satin,
empire-waist bridal gown chosen by the former Miss Cross. She carried and
arrangement of white Majestic daisies and yellow daisies with baby’s breath
as she was presented in marriage by her brother-in-law, Earl Elliott of
Sunnyvale, Ca.
Maid of honor Diane Wegner appeared in a gown of pale yellow floral pattern
satin. Her flowers were yellow and white daisies.
Jim Cross, Weyauwega, served as bestman. Tom Selves and Dennis Strey seated
guests.
A reception was held at the Hotel Charles, Marshfield.
The bride is employed as a teacher at the Loyal Elementary School. Her
husband is engaged in farming.
