Dickinson, Bonnie M. (29 AUG 1935 – 5 DEC 2000)

OWEN – Bonnie Mae Dickinson 65, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. She had previously been a resident of the Clark County Heath Care Center in Owen since 1995.


Funeral services for Bonnie will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2000 at United Church of Christ in Owen. Rev. Robert Everhard will officiated. and burial will be next to her parents in the Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Maurina Funeral Home in Owen.

Bonnie was born October 29, 1935, the daughter of Levi August and Hilda Elizabeth (nee Blazer) Dickinson in the town of Hixon, rural Withee. She was a 1956 graduate of Withee High School and continued to help her parents on the farm, and cared for them until the time of their deaths. She also cared for the health needs of her two aunts, Ida Mae Stone and Mary Blazer. Bonnie worked as a child caregiver and did housekeeping. A single lady, she was a people person and always extended a helping hand to those in need, especially as a volunteer driver to appointments or shopping, and two church.

She enjoyed dancing and traveling, and was a member of the United Church of Christ and the Ladies Aid.

She will be dearly missed by her twin sisters, Darlene (Randy) Engman of Schofield, and Arlene (Rob) Taylor of Mount Prospect, Illinois; A brother, Lyle (Valerie) Dickinson of Dousman; two nephews, Lance (Michelle( Dickinson of Wausau, and Tim Engman of Schofield; three nieces, Angela Taylor of Lewisville, North Carolina, Jessica (Graham) Woody of Hainesville, Illinois, and Rochelle Dickinson, Oakton, California; two great-nieces, Katina Dickinson and Alexandria Dickinson, and many other rleatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Levi, on December 27, 1976; her mother, Elizabeth, on October 6, 1989, and an infant brother, Levi Jr.
