Capelle, David D. (22 APR 1956 – 2 SEP 1998)
LOYAL – David D. Capelle, age 42, of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) and Eau Claire,
died at 10:27 a.m. September 2, `998, at St. Joseph's Hospital Emergency
Room in Marshfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church
in Loyal. The Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate. Pallbearers will be Tom
Kahn, Rick Dana, Bill Taves, Dave Stubb, Richard Dana and Dan Herbrand.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rinka Funeral Home in Loyal.
David Dale Capelle was born April 22, 1956 in Marshfield to Delmer and
Violet (nee Pagelow) Capelle. He was raised in Loyal on his family farm, and
graduated from Loyal High School in 1974. He then attended the University of
Wisconsin, River Falls and graduated in 1978 with a degree in Agricultural
Education and Animal Science. In June 1979 he married Linda Vogel and they
were later divorced.
He farmed part time with his father and was employed at M.A.B.C. Select
Sires. Later he managed the D.H.I.A. Lab in Colby until becoming employed by
Ag. Source in Verona as a sales representative for the past three years. On
January 9, 1998 he married Phyllis Gunn in Chippewa Falls.
David was a volunteer for Heifer Project International for 10 years and was
involved with 4-H work as a member, leader, and currently served as
president of Clark County 4-H Leaders Federation. He also chaperoned Clark
County 4-H members to the state fair for the past several years and worked
in the show ring. He enjoyed working with cattle and working with young
people.
David was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, where he taught
Sunday school for several years and served on the church council. David will
be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Capelle of Eau Claire; parents, Delmer
and Violet Capelle of Loyal; daughter, Dalynn Capelle of Loyal; step-son,
Zachery Falkner of Eau Claire; brother, Larry (Nancy) Capelle of King
George, Virginia; two sisters, Linda (Bill) Snell of key West, Florida, and
Debbie (Doug) Hyde of Menomonie; two sisters-in-law, Barbara (Bill) Taves
and Chris (Richard) Dana, all of Eau Claire; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles
and many many friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials be given to Clark
County 4-H or Clark County Humane Society.
