Curtiss – Edward Bruger, 79, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), died Sunday, January
9, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at Zion
Lutheran Church, Stetsonville. Burial will be in Our Savior's Lutheran
Cemetery, Lena.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. today at Maurina Funeral Home,
Abbotsford, and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Edward was born September 12, 1925 in Rusk County to Edward L.A. and Helen
(Howard) Bruger. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Edward and
Clara Larson were married June 9, 1949. They moved to Curtiss in 1972. He
worked for Farm Services Cooperative Headquarters in Bloomington, Illinois,
as a sales manager in the Curtiss, Plover and Lena areas. He also farmed in
the town of Hoard. He retired in 1983.
Edward is survived by his wife, Clara of Curtiss; his children, Patricia
"Patty" (Marv) Leitzke, La Crescent, Minnesota, Rachel (Tony) Yaron,
Mosinee, Al (Kathy) Bruger, Midland, Michigan, Edward (Marilyn) Bruger,
Spencer, Steve (Kathy) Bruger, West Bend, Paul (Judy) Bruger, Soldiers
Grove, Tom Bruger, Curtiss, and Bob Bruger, Curtiss; 20 grandchildren; 12
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice (Bill) Burlingham, Paradise,
California, and Elsie Eddy, Middleton; and one brother, Louis (Barbara)
Bruger, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
