Albert, Edgar T. (14 NOV 1908 – 13 NOV 1988)
WTTHEE — Edgar T. Albert, 79, Withee, died at 10:50 p.m. Sunday at Clark
County Health Care Center in Owen.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at United Church of Christ, Owen, with
the Rev. Ralph Claybaugh officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Pallbearers will be his two
sons, Ronald and Darrell, and four grandsons, Randy, David, Dean and Ted.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. today at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen.
He was born Nov. 14, 1908, in Mayville, to Theodore and Hulda (Herberg)
Albert. He graduated from Withee High School in 1926.
Oi» May 27, 1933, he married Julia Thorson in Minneapolis. He started
working at the A.C. Altenburg Ford Garage, currently the Owen-Withee Motor
Co., in Withee in 1927. He retired in March 1986.
He was a member of the United Church of Christ where he sang in the men's
choir. He also served as treasurer of the Owen-Withee School Board.
Surviving, besides his wife, are r two sons, Ronald of Howards Grove and
Darrell of Owen; two sisters, Nona Replogle of Waupaca and Dorothy Afrank of
McCleary, Wash.; a brother, C.O. Albert of Orlando, Fla.; and five
grand-children.
