Meinhardt, Marie (20 JUN 1892 – 18 AUG 1986)

GREENWOOD - Services for Mrs. Otto C. (Marie) Meinhardt, 94, formerly of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), who died Monday (August 18, 1986) at the Thorp Care Center, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood.

The Rev. Kenneth A. Dix of First United Church of Christ, Colby, will officiate. Burial will be in the UCC West Cemetery near the church.

Pallbearers will be Allan, Ronald, Douglas and Charles Meinhardt, Edward Horvat, all grandsons, and Roger Schwarze.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, until time of services.

The former Marie Sundermeyer was born June 20, 1892, on a farm in the township of Warner (Clark Co.), a daughter of Henry and Lina (Winter) Sundermeyer. She attended the Decker School in the town of Warner. She lived her entire life in the Greenwood area.

She was married to Otto C. Meinhardt on December 27, 1911. They farmed north of Greenwood for 10 years. They later moved to a farm west of Greenwood. They retired in 1953 and moved to the City of Greenwood. Her husband died May 9, 1962. Mrs. Meinhardt has resided at the Thorp Care Center since 1975.

Surviving are three sons, Elmer, Sheboygan Falls, and Clarence and Harry, both of Greenwood; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.
