Seibold, Erma L. (7 APR 1906 – 2 APR 1999)
Erma L. Seibold, age 92 of Tomah, WI and formerly of Greenwood, W1 died
Friday April 2, 1999 at the Tomah Memorial Hospital. She was born April 7,
1906 on the family farm west of Greenwood, WI to William and Anna (Schoettler)
Vollrath. Erma was united in marriage to John Seibold on June 22, 1927. She
was a member of the Emanuel United Church of Christ, Ladies Aid, Greenwood
Homemakers Club, Greenwood Senior Citizens Group and the Deutsche Club. Erma
enjoyed playing cards (especially pinochle), reading, working crossword
puzzles, and gardening. She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain.
Erma was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all
that knew and loved her.
She is survived by one daughter Elaine (Robert) Nichols of Tomah; one
brother Phillip (Anna) Vollrath of Greenwood, WI; two sisters Dorothy Irvine
and Beatrice (Clarence) Liebzeit both of Greenwood, WI; nine grandchildren,
Brenda Turnquist of Chippewa Falls, WI, Bonnie Aardsvold of Coon Rapids, MN.
John Lust of Pennsylvania, Peter Lust of Eau Claire, Steven Nichols of
Tomah, Deborah Nichols of Minneapolis, MN, Scott Nichols of Coon Rapids, MN,
Rob Nichols of Tomah, and Mary "Nichols" Dike of Waukesha, WI; 15 great
grandchildren; one son-in-law Vernon Lust; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Vollrath; her
husband John in 1986; one daughter Jeanette Lust in 1993; one sister Verna
Abel; and two brothers-in-law Ted Abel, and Quinton Irvine.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 6, 1999, 2:00 p.m. at the
Emanuel United Church of Christ in Greenwood, WI. Pastor Penny Vandeberg
will officiate. Susan Stiemann will be at the organ. Pallbearers will be
Roger Standiford, Eldon Liebzeit, Lester and Ronald Abel, Larry and Allen
Dallman. Burial will follow in the Westside Cemetery beside the Church.
Friends and family may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services
Tuesday at the Church. The White Funeral Home in Tomah is assisting the
family with arrangements.
