Gottschalk, Lorraine F. (25 JUN 1924 – 21 APR 1999)
COLBY —Lorraine Florence Gottschalk, 74, formerly of Unity, died April 21,
1999, in the Emergency Room of St Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in
Unity with the Rev. John Gasen officiating. Burial will be in the parish
cemetery in the town of Brighton, Marathon County (She is listed as being
buried in Unity Trinity Lutheran Cemetery).
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home in Colby
and again from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Lorraine was born June 25, 1924, to William and Florence (nee Matson) Kilty.
She received her education at Unity schools. She was married to Harvey
Gottschalk on Aug. 15, 1942, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand- mother who liked
gardening, crocheting and Sunday dinners with her family. She was a member
of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Karen (Lionel) Schweiger of
Auburndale; grandchildren, Kevin (Mary) Schweiger.. and Lisa (Tom) Robus;
great-grandchildren, Lindsey and McKenzie Robus; and five brothers, Donald
(Virginia) Kilty of Unity, Robert (Alvira) Kilty of Spencer, Lyle (Irma)
Kilty of Colby, Vern (Mary) Kilty of Athens and Marvin (Lu) Kilty of Colby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey on Sept 19, 1998; a son,
Gerald in 1963; her parents; three brothers, Glen, Melvin and Kenneth Kilty,
and a sister, Myrtle Kilty.
