Knuth, Colleen (12 MAY 1961 – 7 MAY 1995)
NEILLSVILLE — Colleen Knuth, 33, Bay City, formerly of Neillsville, passed
away on May 7, 1995, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., from
complications from an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the United Church of Christ
in Neillsville. The Rev. Penny Vandeberg and the Rev. Mark Kelp will
officiate the service. Deon Spangler will be the organist.
A memorial service will be , held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Corner Stone
Community Church in Red Wing, Minn.
Burial will take place at the town of Levis Cemetery in Clark County, rural
Neillsville. Pallbearers will be friends of Colleen.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Gesche Funeral
Home in Neillsville and again one hour prior to the service Thursday at the
church.
Colleen Mortenson was born May 12, 1961, in Neillsville, to Robert and Carol
(Hansen) Mortenson. She attended school in Neillsville and graduated from
Neillsville High School in 1979. After her education, she lived in
Neillsville until moving to Bay City. She was presently employed at the Red
Wing Shoe Factory in Red Wing, Minn. She attended the Corner Stone Community
Church in Red Wing. She enjoyed exercising, weightlifting, dancing and
football.
She is survived by her children, Colisha, Ryen and Christal, all at home;
her mother, Carol Mortenson of Hatfield; her sister, Christine Wren of
Allen- ton; her brothers, Robert D. (Kathy) Mortenson and Thomas (Renee)
Mortenson, all of Neillsville, and Douglas (Bonnie) Mortenson of Mondovi;
one dear friend, Bruce Goulette of Bay City; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, who passed away on May 29, 1993.
