Suckow, Curt D. (14 JUN 1977 - 30 APR 1995)
UNITY — Curt Donovan Suckow, 17, Unity, died April 30, 1995, from injuries
sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church
in Unity, with the Rev. Brian Jaye officiating. Burial will be in the church
cemetery.
Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at the Maurina Funeral Home in
Abbotsford and again on Wednesday from noon until time of services at the
church.
Serving as pallbearers will be his cousins, Ryan Winkler, Eric Winkler, Joel
Winkler, Kyle Winkler, Jedd Winkler, Jeff Winkler, Kevin Winkler, Matt
Suckow, Chris Suckow and Todd Suckow. Honorary pallbearers will be the Colby
"Hornets" High School Basketball Team, Chad Robida, Rich LaFave, Adam Zenner,
Tayt Runge, Brian Nutter, Jon McGhee, Matt Frane, Galen Schraufnagel, Chad
Thomsen and Lucas Wenzel.
Curt Suckow was born June 14, 1977, in Marshfield, the-son of Gerald H. and
Patricia A. (Winkler) Suckow. A student at Colby High School, Curt would
have been a member of the 1995 graduating class. He played basketball for
the past four years. He also played football and was a member of the FFA and
FBLA. Curt was a member of Unity's United Neighbors 4-H group where he
received awards for woodworking. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and worked
part-time on area dairy farms.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Curt is survived by his parents; three brothers, Brian (Beverly) Suckow of
Abbotsford, Bradley (Bobbi) Suckow of Unity and Chad Suckow of Sheboygan;
two sisters, Beth (Kevin) Krebsbach of Marshfield and Christina Suckow, at
home; two nieces, Brianna Suckow and Bailey Suckow; paternal grandmother,
Margaret Suckow of Unity; many aunts, uncles, classmates and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harvey Suckow and
maternal grandparents, Norman Winkler and Dorothy Winkler Hennes.
Maurina Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
