Fryklund, Robert “Bob” C. (12 JUN 1951 - 2 OCT 2019)
Robert “Bob” C. Fryklund, age 68, of Abbotsford died as the result of a traffic
accident in Ohio on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.
A Celebration Gathering will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday,
October 10, 2019 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Military
Honors will be provided by Colby VFW Post #2227 and the Unity American Legion
Post #358.
Bob was born on June 12, 1951, the son of Carl and Effie (Nelson) Fryklund in
Phillips. After graduating from high school, he was drafted into the U. S. Army
and served in Viet Nam from 1969-72 and reenlisted and served from 1975-82. He
was a truck driver for many years, driving for Gray Transportation of Waterloo,
Iowa.
Bob enjoyed hunting, was an avid reader and loved driving his semi
tractor-trailer. Most importantly, he cherished his wife Denise of more than 18
years. He was a very easy going, kind hearted man.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Denise of Abbotsford; three step-children:
Shannon Halopka (Lisa), Nick (Tina) Halopka and Kristy Brunner, all of Medford;
and four grandchildren. He is further survived by siblings: Linda Patterson of
Medford, Duane Fryklund of Medford, Sandy Reichert of Medford and Gerald (Julie)
Fryklund of Prentice; his mother-in-law, Florence Jahnke of Abbotsford; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
