Karen M. Riemer, (Hoffman) (25 JUL 1937 - 2 OCT 2019)

Karen M. Riemer, 82, of Dycora Transitional Health, Abbotsford, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Dycora Transitional Health in Abbotsford, where she had resided for the past 4 months.

Private family only graveside services will take place at a later date. Interment will take place at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.

Karen was born on July 25, 1937, at Milwaukee. She attended Waupaca area schools.

On December 11, 1953, Karen was married to Gerald “Jerry” “Sonny” E. Riemer. He preceded her in death in 2016.

They farmed in the Town of Browning for a period of time. They also owned and operated Riemer’s Plaster Craft & Concrete for a period of years. They enjoyed wintering months in FL, AZ & Texas over the years. She was an excellent homemaker and famous for her homemade kolache’s. She enjoyed flea markets, cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Kathy (Mark) Brandner of Medford & Michael (Susan) Riemer of Owen; 6 Grandchildren; and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Karen is predeceased by her husband “Sonny,” Mother Mary (Johnson) Redmann, step father Brunett Redmann, and brother Walt Hoffman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in her name to either Dycora Transitional Health of Abbotsford or St. Croix Hospice of Eau Claire.
