College Notes (Awards - 2019)

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has awarded 695 scholarships to incoming freshmen, including several students from Clark County.

Five-hundred-four incoming freshmen received scholarships for the 2019-20 academic year, with many students receiving multiple awards. Each award varies in amount and criteria. Scholarship details may be viewed online.

From Dorchester: Dimas Moreno received the Diversity Excellence Scholarship. Moreno is a graduate of Medford Area Senior High.

From Greenwood: Hannah Elmer received the Louise Pederson Gillette Memorial Scholarship and Ralph E. Duxbury Biological Sciences New Student Scholarship. Elmer is a graduate of Greenwood High School.

From Neillsville: Alyssa Bryan was awarded the Diversity Excellence Scholarship. Bryan graduated from Memorial High School in Eau Claire.

Also, from Neillsville, Rita Donahue received the Herlihy Nontraditional Women of Substance Scholarship. Donahue is a Neillsville High School graduate.
