Siemek, Charlotte K. (Doege) (29 OCT 1925 - 4 OCT 2019)
Charlotte K. Siemek entered eternal peace on October 4, 2019 at the age of
93 at Ascension Our Lady of Victory Hospital, Stanley WI, with loving family
by her side.
Charlotte was born to Herman A. and Louise J. (Gorsenger) Doege at home, in
the township of Reseburg, Withee, WI on October 29, 1925. She graduated from
Withee High School in
1943.
Charlotte was united in marriage to Max M. Siemek May 4, 1946 at St. Paul
Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Reseburg, Thorp, WI. They were
married for forty years until Max’s passing in February of 1986.
Charlotte lived on the same farm since June 1948, operating it alongside her
husband. She enjoyed being a homemaker, especially spending time with her
grandchildren who filled her
house with joy and laughter. She also enjoyed sewing in her younger years as
well as reading in her spare time.
Surviving Charlotte are her six children: Eileen Grunseth of Gilman, Leslie
of Neenah, Myron of Cadott, Sharon (Clarence) Ludwig of Medford, Lindy
(Julie) of Jump River, and Max (Dorothy) of Knoxville, TN.
She is also survived by her sister Grace (Charles) Huberty of Marietta, GA
and sister-in law Edith Doege of Stanley, 16 grandchildren, 22
great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, and many nieces, nephews,
and friends.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; brothers Herman
K. Doege and his wife Rita, Arthur, Robert, and Harold who died at the age
of 8 days; and her son-in-law Bill
Grunseth.
Funeral services for Charlotte will take place at 1PM on October 12, 2019 at
Zion Lutheran Church in Gilman, WI with Pastor Dean Herberts officiating.
She will be laid to rest in Meadowbrook Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at which
time the service will begin.
