Zettler, Jeannette F. (24 July 1927 - 29 Dec. 2008)

Jeannette F. Zettler, 81, of Auburndale died Dec. 29, 2008, at the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Fri., Jan. 2, 2009, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home of Marshfield. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service and after the service until 5 p.m. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate. Private family burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

Jeannette Florence Budtke was born July 24, 1927, at Marshfield, a daughter of Fred W. and Emma (Schroeder) Budtke. She graduated as valedictorian of Auburndale High School in 1945, graduated with honors from Wood County Teachers College in 1947 and later graduated from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education.

Jeannette was married to Eugene Zettler on July 14, 1948, in Minocqua. Eugene died May 14, 1983.

Mrs. Zettler taught for 38 years, starting at Long School, town of Richfield, then Milladore State Graded and Stevens Point area schools.

Jeannette was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Marshfield Area Retired Educators, Wisconsin Retired Teachers, Lutheran Laymen's League, Wisconsin and Wood County Farm Bureau, Forum 55+, National Good Sams and Marshlanders camping group. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, camping, gardening, animals and most of all, teaching children.

Jeanette is lovingly survived by two daughters: Bonita Kegler, Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Carolyn (David) Eiden, Sheboygan, four grandchildren: Mrs. Amanda (Bud) Follen, Arpin, Lisa Kegler, La Crosse, Melissa and Luke Eiden, Sheboygan, one sister, Mrs. Almira (Ray) Kamerer, Marshfield, along with numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, parents and one sister, Mrs. Elinora (Otto) Marti.
